On Thursday afternoon, we went to an Easter celebration across the street. I was SO excited to watch Noah participate in the Easter egg hunt. He was the cutest boy out there last year hunting eggs so I was already envisioning Brooklyn & Noah together this year. Ummm wrong- it was a madhouse!
Noah's age category was 2-4 years old. If you've spent anytime on a military base, you know that nearly every family has at least one child that age. There were literally hundreds of children in his age group! Our shy boy watched everyone else take off and run like wild. We encouraged him to "walk over there and get the egg", but they were disappearing before our eyes. He seemed so young against all those other heathens out there- lol! Mama bear mentality kicked in though, I scooped him up and we ran all the way to the other end where he got one stuffed animal. There was no way my boy was going home with an empty bucket! He truly has the sweetest heart and said he had fun anyway!
After the chaos, we stood in line for the Easter bunny and had juice & popcorn. The highlight of the event for Noah was the big truck!
Oh good grief, I love those kids! B makes the best faces; I am crying I am laughing so hard. And N's shoes are awesome.
