It's so hard for me to believe that I'm 38 weeks pregnant! The past month has flown by and it's crazy to think our little man could decide to come any day now. We are as ready as we can be and have everything that we need! Plus, I'm sure a lot more :)
I had an appt yesterday and everything looks good. My belly measured at 36 weeks, I'm 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. If you don't want to know all the girly details I'd skip the rest of this paragraph! :) During the exam she said she could feel his head, but he moved away from her when she did touch him. She said that typically means that he isn't engaged yet since he could back away from her. I was just glad to hear that he was head down, because I was starting to wonder if he was laying across my belly based on some of his movements.
I think our doctor was surprised I had progressed that much and this early as a first time mom. I know we were! Heck, I wanted her to lie and tell me I was 1 cm even if I wasn't, lol. I have been having a ton of BH contractions so I was hoping they were getting things moving. I've had two really long spells of them where they were 8-10 minutes apart for about 6 hours or so. She said one of these times they won't stop and we'll be on our way to the hospital! She doesn't think I'll make it to my due date (21st) and thought he'd be here sometime within the next two weeks!!
Maybe next time I post there will be some images of a sweet baby boy! :)

I love your blog! It's cute and I think I need to change mine yet again :) I want to see pictures of his room please! I bet it's darling. I am so excited for you two and this little man of yours. Can't wait for that text/post or whatever tells me that he is here. Love you and miss you! I wish I had lots of money so I could fly there to meet this stud.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to meet Mr. Noah! Better get that casserole dish ready!
ReplyDeleteAwww... I bet you can barely stand the wait :) That's good you've made progress already :) The more now, the less later!!! Keep me posted! I can't wait to hear Noah's made his big entrance! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Rudi
Rachel,
ReplyDeleteI'll try to post some pictures of his room this weekend. His walls are still pretty bare, but we're working on that. I wish you could fly and come see him too! We'll be home this summer so we'll definitely have to meet up then!! :)
Laurie,
I can't believe her story! If that happened in our house there is no way it'd be such a beautiful and calm experienc. What an amazing story! While I do hope my labor goes quickly I'd still prefer it to be in the hospital and not in my living room!
Rudi,
I'm hoping that's true! One of my fears was I'd labor at home forever then get to the hospital and find out I was only 1 or 2 cm. I'm so glad to know that I've already made some progress. Feel free to email me any other advice!
I go back to the doctor on Wednesday. Our plan is to text everyone once he arrives so keep your phones on you~ it could be any moment now!! :)
